Azha Ayanna Luckman is an integrative artist using image making as a means of unearthing the interconnectedness between process and memory. In quiet opposition to cursory methodologies, Luckman’s portraits and landscapes, made in medium and large format, reflect the artist’s desire to render unhurried reflections of themself and their worlds.
This practice is acutely informed by black, queer femme-hood and Luckman’s relationship to seeing and archiving life beyond representation.
